Asbestos Awareness Training
Asbestos awareness training is essential for anyone who may encounter asbestos in the workplace, including construction workers, maintenance personnel, and health and safety professionals. Understanding the risks associated with asbestos exposure helps prevent serious health problems and supports safer working practices. This training plays an important role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, protecting employee wellbeing, and maintaining the responsibility of organisations operating in environments where asbestos may still be present.
Under Regulation 10 - Information, Instruction and Training - of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, employers are legally required to ensure that employees receive adequate information, instruction, and training where they are exposed, or liable to be exposed, to asbestos, or where they supervise employees who may be exposed. This requirement also applies to employees carrying out work connected to the employer’s duties under these Regulations, ensuring they are able to perform their work effectively and safely.
